The 7880ENC-J2K-IPASI is a JPEG2000 SD & HD encoder card. The 7880ENC-J2K-IPASI is Evertz 3rd generation versatile JPEG2000 codec. It offers variable JPEG2000 compression rate on ASI or IP. The 7880ENC-J2K-IPASI offers better quality, higher rate and lower latency than previous generations. The 7880ENC-J2K-IPASI also supports pass through of up to 4 AES groups (16 channels) of embedded audio. The card functions are controlled through the VistaLINK® interface.
The 7880ENC-J2K-IPASI is the perfect product to encode back haul or archive high quality contribution video with low end-to-end delay. The JPEG2000 offers superior quality than MPEG-2 codec without the MPEG-2 blocking artifacts at lower latency.
