LIDIA HD Supports LIDIA 4 and LIDIA 5 Triggers

Evertz is pleased to introduce the latest 9725 series of logo and media insertion products for the deployment of CBS' LIDIA HD branding project. This fully integrated, LIDIA compatible system was designed to meet not only the immediate branding needs of CBS affiliates, but also provide for future expansion. With extensive hardware and software interface updates, the 9725 series has been designed to manage and store multiple logos, ranging in size from 1/25th to full screen, set position, fade and animation rates, and conveniently receive trigger information through the LIDIA HD network. With the capability to key in up to 16 logos simultaneously, the 9725 logo and media insertion products are the most advanced branding devices available today.

The HD9725LG provides a complete HD Logo and HD Logo/Audio Insertion package that will key one or many static/animated "bugs" over a full bandwidth HD program video signal. This version handles either HD or SD video inputs.

Overture

The application software is included with the media branding products and provides a unified interface to:

• Create and upload custom crawls
• Create and deliver logos
• Build animation sequences including fade in, pause and fade out routines
• Adjust logo position and transparency levels
• Import TIFF, TARGA, BMP, GIF or JPG format graphic files
• Import Quicktime or AVI format video files
• Generate analog and digital clocks, dates, temperatures and slates
• Provide a firmware upgrade utility for one or multiple units

The 9725 Series allows the user to create custom text messages that can be displayed as crawls or fixed fields on top of the keyed graphic logos. These user-defined elements are dynamically updated via Ethernet. Text crawls and fields retain display information such as background/foreground transparency, color, position and font while the dynamic text may be changed without re-creating the associated logo graphics.

The EAS crawl option provides connection to an existing EAS decoder for tests (white text on green), watch alerts (white on yellow) and warnings (white on red) The variable height text font can be positioned anywhere on the screen.
