Tax Manager

Responsibilities:
- Complete the preparation of the Company’s Canadian corporate tax returns, including leading the preparation and review of annual SR&ED filings.
- Preparation of calculations and working paper schedules in supporting the tax returns.
- Assist in the filing of the Company’s US corporate tax returns.
- Ensure Canadian and US government remittances, including sales taxes, corporate taxes are submitted on time.
- Maintain access and compliance with financial portals and systems for Canadian and US tax filings and regulatory submissions.
- Serve as the point of contact for all tax compliance audits.
- Assist accounting team in preparation of financial statement tax provisions and disclosures.
- Research new tax trends and regulations.
- Liaison with external accounting firm(s) and working closely in all areas with the executive team.
- Assistance in day-to-day operations within the accounting department
- Other related duties, including special projects, as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Designated accountant, preferably a qualified CPA
- Strong knowledge of CRA regulations and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple priorities and timelines
- Ability to work independently and within a team
