What is VUE?
VUE is a tool set providing intelligent operational interfaces.
VUE is a software-defined interface that uses widgets and visualization to
provide contextualize interactions to satisfy user's intent. Its flexible
interactions can be provided on multiple platforms.
VUE is the perfect tool to create more efficient and effective workflows
within any media or broadcast environments.
VUE has been designed from the ground up to provide an unmatched user
experience. We make sure that you'll always have the right tools for the task
at hand. VUE will take away unnecessary complications from your workflow by
using MAGNUM to orchestrate setting crosspoints or controlling
edge devices. VUE will use VistaLINK PRO to give you context surrounding any
issues that affect your signals.
VUE is easy to use. We've enhanced the operator skill set for tasks that
include producing a show or ensuring the quality of your content. You'll know
exactly what you're doing since VUE combines controls and video in a single
interface. Not only is it easy to use but also easy to configure. VUE's
controls can be easily built up by you, similar to how your smartphone's home
screen works.
VUE provides high return on investment. VUE is future-proof. We release a new
VUE update semi-annually full of improvements. When you decide to add new gear
(Evertz or Third Party), VUE won't have to be significantly altered. For
example, new sources and destinations can automatically populate in VUE's
interface. It's a great product for the future due to the flexibility of VUE's
controls.
Security is crucial. We'll make sure that only the right people can have
access to your VUE. MAGNUM has a suite of security features, including
end-to-end encryption and Active Directory. MAGNUM will also restrict what
assets are exposed to VUE. This means that your users will only have access to
the sources, destinations, and controls that they have clearance for.
Getting VUE into your facility will also bring a few perks; less hardware,
less time spent on tasks, and a lot less effort spent. A single VUE station
can replace a router-panel, QC monitor, multiviewer control surface, proc
gear, and more. Not only does it replace hardware, but you save a lot of time
only having to navigate one interface. We make it less complicated, so you'll
have a much easier time doing the same job.
VUE-ANYWHERE
VUE can now be accessed remotely on your LAN or WAN with the VUE-ANYWHERE
feature. This will enable your VUE to be accessible via any browser. This
means you'll have access to all of your broadcast devices, through VUE. VUE
will provide you controls (like XY Routing, A/V Proc, SNMP, etc) and
visualization in a single interface.
How it Works
VUE Design Studio allows you to drag and drop widgets to create layouts.
VUE Widget Tray
A router control widget is dragged from the widget tray and dropped into VUE. The widget automatically pulls a list of sources and destinations from MAGNUM.
The widget offers various settings. You can modify its appearance or technical settings through this menu.
The widget has been configured to display as many destinations, and their sources, as will fit. Click on any of the green boxes to route a new source into that destination.
Topological View
The Evertz Orchestration Layer consists of a unified software stack that acts
as the centralized management hub. They work together to coordinate your
broadcast and forward only relevant controls to your VUE stations. The
Orchestration Layer controls, manages, and monitors all of the devices in your
facility. VUE interacts with the Orchestration Layer to provide the necessary
tools for the operator's task.
Interactive UI
Click on the different elements for more information about VUE's customizable
UI widgets.
-
Widgets
Choose from a selection of predefined widgets for interfacing to routers, multiviewers, terminal gear, master control, and Mediator. Access generic VUE widgets for visualization and graphical implementations.
-
Personalized Design
Graphical element widgets allow the user to personalize the workspace. Using the various design elements operators can use their own graphics, text, colors to build a contextual work environment.
-
Multi System
VUE enables the user to interact with multiple video routing, multiviewer, infrastructure, master control / branding, and playout systems. From a single unified work surface, operations can now interact with these systems without having to change context.
-
Visualization
Visualization of either baseband and/or IP encoded video with dynamic UMDs and audio bars.
-
Tailored Controls
Access tailored device controls for SNMP enabled equipment including sliders, buttons, spin boxes, and drop downs.
-
Automation Interface
Automation Override and Playlist widget for providing control / status of selected PlayTime Channels using the integrated Mediator system.
-
Intuitive Router Control
Tailored controls for interfacing to router control. Provides a user defined view of router sources, icons, text size/colour, and available sources for intuitive routing control.
-
Playout Control
Playout Device Control and Allocation Management widget integrated with Evertz' Mediator systems. Provides simple control of playout device redundancy setups and specific device controls such as source, keyer, and emergency overrides.
-
Service Alarms
Provides operators with alarm information for a subscribed service or service group. Alarms can be marked as acknowledged and/or corrected states. The service alarm log feature is integrated with Evertz' VistaLINK PRO system.
-
Live Design
Toggle between Edit mode and Operation mode. Allows users to tailor the graphical layout of the interface to meet operation requirements for a specific task or use.
-
Penalty Box
Prioritized notifications alerting operators to issues/events that can be addressed efficiently and effectively. Integration with Evertz' VistaLINK PRO system to provide operators with alarm notifications from the devices and services that it is monitoring.
-
